一、 本校圖書館(以下簡稱本館)為提供電子書資源服務,以支援全校師生教學研究之需,特設置電子書閱讀區,並訂定本要點。

二、 本館電子書閱讀器係以收藏電子書籍為主之電子器材,包含書籍影像、聲音或多媒體。

三、 本館電子書閱讀器限本校教職員工及學生使用。

四、 如需借出電子書閱讀器時,讀者需憑證親自辦理借閱手續,不得代借或轉借他人使用。

五、 借出數量及期限:教職員生及學生以1台為限,借期2週。

六、 外借之電子書閱讀器可辦理預約,不可續借。

七、 電子書閱讀器借出後應如期歸還,未歸還者,終止一切借閱權利,每逾期1日收取新台幣50元之逾期處理費,逾期處理費未繳清前不予辦理離校或離職手續。

八、電子書閱讀器借出後如有遺失或損壞者,借閱者需自行購買相同器材賠償,否則應以閱讀器原價的2倍賠償。

九、借出之電子書閱讀器需妥善愛惜使用,借出前先檢查機器設備有無損壞,若有故障損壞應立即告知館員處理。

十、電子書閱讀器所儲存的內容皆是合法採購之電子資源,借出後請尊重智慧財產權,凡是非法下載、安裝、竊取或任意刪除導致資料遺失及其他不當行為而產生之法律糾紛,借用人需負賠償或其刑責。

十一、 本要點經圖書委員會議通過,陳請校長核定後實施,修正時亦同。

1. Purpose
To support the teaching and research needs of faculty, staff, and students, the Library of National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (hereinafter “the Library”) has established an e-book reading area and hereby sets forth these guidelines.

2. Definition
E-book readers refer to electronic devices primarily used to store and access electronic books, including text, images, audio, or multimedia content.

3. Eligibility
E-book readers are available exclusively to the faculty, staff, and students of the University.

4. Loan Procedure
(1) Borrowers must complete the loan process in person with valid identification.
 A. Proxy borrowing or lending the device to others is strictly prohibited.

5. Loan Quantity and Period
Each eligible user may borrow one e-book reader at a time. The loan period is limited to two weeks.

6. Reservations and Renewals
Borrowed devices may be reserved in advance. Renewals are not permitted.

7. Overdue Policy
E-book readers must be returned by the due date. Borrowing privileges will be suspended for overdue items. A late fee of NT$50 per day will be charged. Users with outstanding overdue fees will not be cleared for graduation or resignation procedures.

8. Loss or Damage
In case of loss or damage: The borrower must replace the device with an identical model; otherwise, compensation at twice the original purchase price is required.

9. Usage Responsibility
Borrowers are responsible for the proper care of the device. The device must be inspected for damage prior to checkout. Any malfunction or damage must be reported to library staff immediately.

10. Intellectual Property and Legal Liability
All content stored on the e-book readers has been legally acquired. Borrowers must respect intellectual property rights. Unauthorized downloading, installation, deletion, or data theft is strictly prohibited. Borrowers are liable for any legal disputes, damages, or criminal responsibility arising from such actions.

11. Implementation and Amendment
These guidelines shall take effect upon approval by the Library Committee and ratification by the University President. Amendments shall follow the same procedure.
