Ching Song Liu once said, "I am not raising them but teaching them, giving them the chance to stand up again in the second half of their lives." At 90 years old, Ching Song Liu has spent nearly half of his life helping over 700 students with disabilities learn painting since the year 1971. He enables them to acquire artistic skills, foster independence, and open another window in their lives. He hopes that individuals with disabilities can bravely step out, reducing family troubles.

Born into poverty, Ching Song Liu showed artistic talent from a young age but couldn't continue education due to financial constraints. Through hard work, he became a barber and painter. Recognition came when he copied Lang Shih-ning's "Hundred Horses," leading him to Taipei National University of the Arts and further studies abroad for three years. Grateful for the opportunities provided by the country, he founded the Loving Heart Painting Training Class, teaching painting to people with disabilities, helping them gain valuable skills. His teaching extends beyond art to life skills, with students living in his home. He emphasizes gratitude, righteousness, and filial piety, believing that true "disability" lies in spiritual shortcomings.

Dedicating himself to art and charity, Ching Song Liu became a special advisor to the Japanese royal family in 2011, earning the title "Master of True Love." His artworks have been exhibited worldwide, including at renowned museums, Taipei 101, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, TSMC, and Taoyuan Airport. The current exhibition at Yunlin University of Science and Technology allows art enthusiasts in the Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan area to appreciate the works of top artists without traveling to Taipei.

Exhibition Dates: January 8 to February 24, 2024
Exhibition Venue: YTech Library Art Center
