What situations constitute plagiarism?

It’s usually heard about someone accusing another of “plagiarism” his work, infringing his copyright. Also heard the question about what situations constitute “plagiarism”. In fact, there is no word “plagiarism” in the Copyright Act. In common, “works plagiarism” means causing an infringement of the “reproduction right” or “adaptation right”. 

For example, if A puts B’s article in a chapter of his/her new book without any modification, it will be considered A “plagiarism” B’s article, In the Copyright Act, A infringes B’s “reproduction right”. If A uses B’s article to rewrite a script, it will also be considered A “plagiarism” B’s article, In the Copyright Act, because rewriting from A is an independent creation that constitutes the action of “adaptation”, A infringes B’s “adaptation right”.
